Format
1. This program begins with an animated video about emotions.
2. We then talk about brain connection
3. We decide if certain scenes are real danger or perceived danger.
4. Then we talk about ways to calm oneself down.
5. Lastly, we go over how to tame moods and react in certain scenarios.
Objectives
Upon completion of this program, the student will be able to:
1. Analyze situations in which a person’s amygdala activates in non-emergencies
2. Practice a variety of self-regulation techniques
3. State the importance of speaking with a trusted adult in emotional situations.
4. List individuals who may be a trusted adult.
5. Match “feeling words” to specific situations.
