Metamorphosis
is a fascinating concept that can be introduced to elementary kids through
simple and engaging explanations about the metamorphosis and life cycle of a butterfly. 
Magical Metamorphosis allows students to see how some animals
transform over various life stages into animals that are designed for survival.

Format

1. Introduction to the topic, ask a couple of questions to inquire what is metamorphosis and what they know already
2. How does it work?
3. The stages.
4. Adaptations and survival
5. Wrap up
6. Time is allowed for questions and answers at end (and throughout the program)

Objectives

1. Students will be able to define metamorphosis
2. Students will be able to identify different phases of metamorphosis
3. Students will be able to compare and contrast metamorphosis to other known life stages (i.e. frogs, mammals, etc.)
