Objectives
1. This program begins with an overview of the five healthy food groups
2. We compare and contrast micronutrients and macronutrients.
3. We learn the sources of added sugars in our diet and calculate the amount of added sugars in
different foods.
4. Students analyze the difference between serving size and portion size.
5. Next, we learn how to read a nutrition label.
6. The risk factors for obesity are discussed.
7. Students set a personal health goal to improve their health.
