Update 2/24/2021: Denali's distance learning calendar is fully booked through March 31, 2021 and while we won't be able to honor any more requests for Spring 2021, we can still help bring Denali and Alaska to your classroom! Denali's website lists other opportunities, including a pre-recorded version of The Science of Sled Dogs designed for teachers to use with their classes; pre-recorded pauses are built in to facilitate discussion.

Denali National Park and Preserve protects North America's tallest mountain, wild glacial landscapes, intact ecosystems, subarctic wildlife, a working kennel of sled dogs, dinosaur fossils, and a human history that extends from time immemorial. You can bring your K-12 class on a virtual field trip to Denali! We offer free, interactive, curriculum-based classroom presentations using Zoom from November 1 to March 31 every year.

Excellent program – went along with our standards for science. Thank you so much!

Thank you for providing this free Video Conference! Students were excited to participate and learn more about the park and sled dogs. It was a valuable and educational experience for these 3rd graders. I would recommend this distance learning program to others!

I loved every bit of it! The kids were so excited to Skype with someone from Alaska. I loved how it wasn’t just a lecture and that it was very interactive. My students really enjoyed being a part of this learning experience. Thanks so much for the opportunity.
