Give your students the opportunity to meet experts in the field, go behind the scenes and experience the BEST of CILC content provider programming! Consider Virtual Expeditions as your “taste test” in discovering the diversity of what we have to offer.

With a Virtual Expeditions Annual membership you are eligible to register for: 

  • The opportunity to participate in 10 programs (1 per month September to June) from Content Providers that normally charge a fee.
  • Each program will be delivered via Live Streaming and runs 30 minutes.
  • After the presentation there will be a time for participants to ask questions and get answers directly from the experts.

The Virtual Expedition Annual membership is $75.00 per site. That is $7.50 a program! Check out the programs that will be available for the 2018-2019 School Year. Full line-up of programs coming soon! Check back as more programs are added!

The Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology is Canada’s only Museum dedicated exclusively to the science of palaeontology. Situated in the Canadian badlands, the Museum houses one of largest displays of dinosaurs in the world. In this Distance Learning program, Up Close and Palaeo Jr., one of our experts will bring the science of palaeontology to life and answer your questions live. After an introduction to the science, a look at fossilization, a quick tour of the Museum, participants take over to ask their questions through the chat window. Animations, images, video clips, and real fossils will complement our responses.
