Cisco Virtual Field Trip Teacher Badge

The Cisco Virtual Field Trip Teacher Badge is for a teacher that has scheduled and participated in a virtual field trip with a group of students. Educators will gain the following competencies which are aligned to ISTE Standards for Educators.

To Earn this Badge

  • Submit an Intent to Participate form to CILC.

  • Fill out an application form of intent and CILC will provide you with instruction to obtain your webex account. CILC staff will provide a training video, links and work with you to schedule your live training workshop at a time of your convenience if desired. (ISTE 5c)

  • Review the Cisco Webex Privacy and Security FAQ for Webex use with minors

  • Use the CILC.org site to find, schedule, and attend a Virtual Field Trip to enhance classroom objectives (ISTE 1a,3b,4a,4c,5b)

  • Evaluate the content of a Virtual Field Trip through the automated CILC follow-up evaluation to share the experience and how the Virtual Field Trip impacted the curriculum (ISTE 6b)

  • Document the experience by creating a 2-3 minute recording of the experience. (ISTE 4a)  Here are some sample Topics for Video Recordings.

  • Submit artifacts of learning:

    • Link to recording

    • make sure that you provide a video release for yourself and any other individuals in your recording, including students. You may submit your district’s release form or submit the CILC Release.
