Public Forum Debate: Should cuts to education be used to balance New Jersey's Budget?

About

One way to really learn about an issue is to research and then debate it. On Tuesday, April 27, 2010 thousands of students throughout the NJ walked out of school protesting the budget cuts to education. Some of these students were knowledgeable and driven to fight for what they believed in. Others just followed with no idea why. With every argument there are two sides. In order to make informed decisions, one must look at both sides. On Thursday, May 27, 2010 from 8:30 am-9:30 am EST, Technology High School will be hosting a virtual "Public Forum Debate: Should cuts to education be used to balance New Jersey's Budget?" We are looking for a few sites to work with us: Were the students that walked out of their school in protest of the governor's budget justified? Was the governor justified in making painful budget cuts to education?
