Hello! Our 2nd graders learn about urban, rural, and suburban communities and we need YOUR help! We live in a suburb and we want to connect with a partner from a rural school and one from an urban school -- the bigger the city, the better! We will provide a structure with topics to build our connection around. You would spend a little time talking about the topics with your class, and then the day of the connection, we would each share our answers from our own communities. There would also be time for a Q&A at the end. The goal is for students to learn the similarities and differences in daily life for people who live in different types of communities. Note: We have 5 second grade classes of about 20 each. We would love 5 urban partners and 5 rural partners so each class has them! If not, we can accommodate multiple classes on the same Google Meet if needed.
