Program Details

Format

1. This program begins with a short video familiarizing the audience with the location and mission of the Alaska Zoo.
2. Introduction to staff member and encounter animal(s).
3. A photo-based discussion on harbor seal characteristics.
4. Discussion on where they live.
5. Awesome adaptations via photos/video!
6. Time allowed for questions and answers.

Objectives

Through this program participants should be able to:
*List harbor seal characteristics.
*Describe where they live/range.
*Discuss various harbor seal adaptations.
*Identify key uses for blubber.
