Format
1. This program begins with a review of the reproductive system.
2. We then discuss conception and abstinence.
3. We view a video of a baby being born.
4. Participants discuss the time and money it takes to raise a child.
5. Time is allowed for questions and answers.
Objectives
Upon completion of this program, the student will be able to:
1. Identify the organs of the female and male reproductive systems.
2. Describe how conception occurs.
3. List three risks of teen pregnancy.
4. Explain how drug use, heredity, and lifestyle can affect an unborn baby.
5. Give examples of expenses that occur when raising a family.
6. Identify the stages of fetal development.
7. List three responsibilities of being a parent.
8. State that parents unable or unwilling to care for a newborn infant can place the infant in a Safe Haven without any questions asked.
