a CILC Content Provider
In addition to offering award winning, state-of-the-art programs in an on-site space simulator, the Challenger Learning Center, thanks to technology, brings its innovative programs to distant classrooms around the world through its electronic distance-learning programs, known as e-Missions. The CLC flies more than 800 e-Missions for schools, many located in traditionally underserved districts, each year. We provide FREE virtual Teacher Training sessions for any of our distance learning programs. The Challenger Learning Center® also offers adult and student learners the chance to climb aboard a space station and complete a mission in the role of astronauts, scientists, and engineers with its Corporate Missions. A successful mission requires critical thinking, leadership, cooperation, and problem solving.

Researchers are ready to explore Mars, but there’s one problem—more than 40 million miles separate Earth from the Red Planet. This distance makes it impossible to travel back and forth between the two planets while completing our research. We need...
Take a seat in Mission Control.Researchers are ready to return to the Moon to explore its surface and establish a second habitat for astronauts to live and work. To get there, your students will work in teams to launch and fly Blue Origins...
Interactive science lab experiments are conducted in collaboration with your students who will use the scientific method. Lab journals are used by students to document their learning. 12 different science topics are available.
Surf the waves big and small; from radio to gamma rays...we explore them all!
More than just 'good eats'! Join our chemist and explore the science of cooking.
e-Labs are virtual and interactive lessons in various science subjects, such as physical science, chemistry, life science, and Earth science that include a live video conference event.
Solids, liquids, or gases? These phases matter as demonstrated in this e-Lab!
Your students will be challenged to locate and rescue the astronauts aboard the Distance Discovery! They will use their math skills and planetary facts to help solve this problem!
Kick off your Earth and space science unit with our interactive Observation Earth simulation, where students experience real-world STEM careers, and are placed into teams to conduct research and collaborate to find solutions to urgent challenges...
On mission day the island of Montserrat is the world's most dangerous place. Two potentially catastrophic events - an awakening volcano and an approaching category 2 hurricane- simultaneously threaten this Caribbean paradise. Students prepare...
Science Magic e-Lab deepens student curiosity of science topics through using the scientific method on entertaining and 'magical' experiments.
Winter, spring, summer, fall; this e-Lab explores them all! Your students will learn the reasons for the seasons around the world.
During this 45-60 minute videoconference, your students will be asked to use their senses to help them make observations about what is going on in the Challenger Science Lab. The Lab Director will encourage them use their five senses to make...
The classroom becomes a command center of weather experts that make weather predictions in Dayton, OH so that they can recommend canceling or holding events that are planned based on the forecast.
Your team of experts will analyze air pressure, humidity, temperature and wind data to make decisions to hold or cancel events based on their forecast.
Did you know that when you hear a beautiful song, or see a gorgeous vase, or look at a colorful painting that science was involved? This e-Lab will encourage students to look past the forms of art (music, pottery and painting) and seek the science...
