Format
Attendees will classify bullying behaviors into various categories. Using videos and discussions, attendees will see the impact and truth that bullying affects both the target, the bully and all the bystanders and it is not just a kid thing to live through during childhood. the last activity allows attendees to see their own value as adults who are potential mentors.
Objectives
1. Define bullying as "repeated and on purpose actions meant to harm, scare or intimidate another targeted person."
2. Identify five face to face bullying behaviors.
3. Identify five ways that students may be cyberbullied.
4. List strategies to reduce and/or prevent bullying.
5. Identify behaviors that may indicate a person is the target of a bully.
6. Identify skills to teach youth which will help reduce bullying.
7. Identify five resources for adult mentors.
