Participants will learn some surprising facts about smoking and prescription drugs. In addition, the short and long-term effects of illegal drugs on the human body will be shared. The importance of not using alcohol, drugs, or tobacco during pregnancy will be discussed.

Schedule 5 of the same program on the same day and one will be free! For the UK, the fee is 98 British Pounds. Please include a purchase order number when you submit a reservation. Bridging fees will be paid by the customer. An invoice will be sent after successful delivery of each program. A 1.5% late charge will be added 30 days after the invoice date. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to your confirmed videoconference date to avoid billing. Payment is due in full upon receipt of the invoice. Checks should be made to McMillen Health in US Dollars. Non-payment will result in the denial of further registration from your organization.

Program Details

Format

Using Power Point slides and other visuals, attendees will see the effects of the use of tobacco and other drugs such as prescription medications on the body. Plastinated human organs will be used to illustrate internal damage caused by the use of substances. Special attention will be given to the effects of tobacco and alcohol on a pregnant woman and her baby.

Objectives

1.Explain how drugs affect the dopamine levels of the body to produce the high.
2.Identify short term and long term effects of marijuana.
3.Identify short term and long term effects of K2/spice.
4.Identify short term and long term effects of methamphetamine.
5.List some lesser known dangers of smoking on the body such as effects on insulin, blood pressure and heart disease.
6.List the physical benefits of quitting smoking.
7.Name the long term effects of drinking alcohol on females.
8.Name the long term potential effect of a pregnant woman drinking during the pregnancy.
9.Define binge drinking and list two dangers of binge drinking.
