The Fueling My Special Body program focuses on the body's need for food, understanding the parts and function of digestive system, identifying foods in the 5 food groups of, and understanding the importance of the 6 essential nutrients found within the foods/drinks we consume. An emphasis is placed on eating a variety of foods and moderation.

Located in Central Pennsylvania, the Byrnes Health Education Center is an organization who is dedicated to the misson of educating and inspiring healthy choices in people of all ages.  Our team is proud to offer a variety of health education programming for students in Pre-K thru Grade 12.  Broadcasting LIVE from The Center's teaching theaters, students are engaged through interactive exhibits & props, and presented content that adheres to national education standards.  Subject areas include Character Education/Bullying Prevention, Drug Education, General Health, Human Growth & Development, Nutrition & Fitness, Oral Health and Safety & Disease Prevention.  Each of our programs are mapped to all 50 state educational standards as well as those in Canada.  We are passionate about health education and are thrilled to be partnering with you!
