Virtual Passport Day: AFRICA & EGYPT

Travel across the African continent to hear about the amazing kingdoms
that existed there throughout history. See inside an ancient Egyptian
tomb and learn more about hieroglyphs, tomb offerings, and a special
passageway between the world of the living and the dead. Get inspired by
the Adinkra symbols used by the Asante/Ashanti people, and practice
creating your own Adinkra stamp!

Programs will be held in a webinar format that offers an easy one-click connection to share in your classroom or with your learners joining remotely. Upon registration, we will provide more information about how to connect on this platform, which you can share with your technology team.

Cost: (30 students per workshop)
• $50.00 for each Virtual Passport Day Class Ticket

Based on Class Size:
• 1-30 students are recognized as one class
• 30-60 students are recognized as two classes
• 60-90 students are recognized as three classes

Length

Two 45-minute live virtual sessions scheduled at 11:00 AM EST and 1:00 PM EST.

Format

Learn more about cultural traditions and artwork found across the Asian continent with live virtual visits and digital activities.

Schedule:
11:00 am Making Morning - Adinkra Stamps Virtual Workshop (45-minutes)
12:00 pm LUNCH BREAK - Explore digital resources individually with a provided PDF while you take a break in the Virtual Classroom
1:00 pm Anthro Afternoon - Preparing for Eternity: Egyptian False Doors Virtual Workshop (45-minutes)
