Format
1. Students will be briefed on the situation - mole in operation
2, Students will examine 4 pieces of evidence to try and match fingerprints, shoeprints, handwriting and learn about techniques FBI scientists use today in intel cases.
3. Students decide who is the mole is and then discover if correct or not
4. Students learn about Robert Hanssen, one of the worst moles in US history
Objectives
At the end of the program, students will be able to :
- define what espionage and forensics are
- understand how forensics is used in espionage cases
- determine what type of fingerprints they have
- learn techniques that forensic scientists use in the field
- understand how to analyze shoeprints and handwriting samples
