Format
1. This program begins with an overview of the five food groups.
2. Then, students solve riddles to learn about the major organs of the body.
3. We discuss how our skeleton protects our organs.
4. Students learn their heart is a muscle. They participate in a dance party to raise their heart rate.
5. They learn the four keys to good health.
Objectives
Upon completion of this program, the student will be able to:
1. Name the five food groups.
2. Match a food to the correct food group.
3. Name three foods from the Grain group.
4. Identify the four Keys to Staying Healthy.
5. Identify one technique to cope with feeling sad or angry.
6. Locate the heart, lungs, stomach, intestines, and brain.
7. State the approximate number of muscles in the body.
8. Participate in a group exercise activity.
9. Explain what happens to the heart and other muscles when one exercises.
