Join Caleb Smith on a musical journey as we listen to music, draw pictures, and discuss how music affects art and vice versa. We will be listening to different genres of music and talking about how it makes us feel and what we might see. 

*This course can be scaled for higher grade levels or lower grade levels*

Program Details

Format

- This program generally begins with singing the hello song together
- We then discuss how music can effect our emotions
- We will then take out our art tools and create 3 images listening to three contrasting pieces of music
- Afterwards, we will discuss how the music created these 3 different images for us
- We will finish with questions and a closing song

Objectives

The participant will:
- explore different genres of music
- compare and contrast different emotions in music
- engage in a discussion about how music is used to create emotion
- develop an appreciation for how music can affect everyone differently
