Welcome (virtually) to the Nebraska History Museum! Students will connect via Google Meet, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams with a History Nebraska Educator inside the museum. Together we will dive into the story of the Buffalo Soldiers who called Nebraska's Fort Robinson home. African Americans have served proudly in every American war and military conflict. The soldiers of the 9th and 10th Calvary, nicknamed Buffalo Soldiers, were the first to do so as official members of the U.S. Army. With this distinction came honor and opportunity, but it also came with complexity and racism.
