Format
The program is delivered live by two teachers. During the 45 minutes session, teachers will deliver content, pose questions, have short games, and small group discussions.
Objectives
Program 1:
Students will be able to identify different parts of the internet and assess whether they are safe or not. They will make connections between their emotions and internet usage. They will also establish a plan for themselves to follow as they continue to learn and grow using the internet.
Program 2:
Students will understand what it means to have an online presence and how to remain aware of this presence as they continue their internet journey. In this lesson, they will review tips on writing a proper email and identifying common internet scams.
Program 3:
Students will develop a greater awareness of what they consume daily on the internet. They will determine how to react to cyberbullying and “echo chambers”. They will learn how to set boundaries for themselves with social media usage and explore the ways in which all media is not created equal.
