We will look at what types of sounds and arrangement ideas are common across different songs and start to attempt to answer the question, "what makes a song popular?"

This program will start with an introduction and a discussion of what the participants listen toParticipants will be asked the question "what makes good music?"We will then listen to a variety of songs which are considered "chart topping"We will look at different genres and discuss what principles might be consistent across them.Participants will have a chance to ask questions to the presenter
The participant will:- explore modern popular music - compare different types of music- engage in a discussion about what makes us like certain types of music over others
