Format
1. Look at globe to learn about where penguins and polar bears live.
2. Show picture of the exhibits and talk about the native conditions these animals are built to survive.
3. Review adaptations using a PowerPoint presentation, biofacts and hopefully see our some of our Zoo animals live.
At all times questions are encouraged!
Objectives
At the end of the program, students should be able to:
-Engage in scientific inquiry through prediction, testing, and result explanation.
-Explore adaptive characteristics of animals (e.g., polar bears, penguins, puffins) for survival in both captive and wild environments.
-Classify animals based on their roles in ecosystems as producers, consumers, predators, or prey.
-Analyze behavioral and physical adaptations of animals for survival in their respective habitats.
-Understand how environmental factors, such as seasons and temperatures, influence animal behavior in both Zoo and native settings.
-Identify adaptations aiding their survival.
