Who was Mary Quant and how did she literally change fashion forever?
Who were the Beatles and did they influence what we wear today?
We will learn how to sketch fashion ideas and use the sixties stories of those famous fashion Icons to show that we can indeed create images of fashion that are lively and alive.
We will examine the stories of these people and then using crayon, wash,charcoal and pencil let us try to see how we can create life into a pose.
This program can be part of an Arts and History Course.
It is also suitable for Library and extended learning.

Program Details

Format

We will begin by learning the stories of both Mary Quant and also The Beatles.
How were they able to ,and how and what way did they influence Fashion in the Sixties?
Let us look at images of that era.
We will then work on learning how to draw in a Fashion Style and then create a specific design that we can work on after the Video Conference.
For this we will use paint, wash,crayon and pencil. We will explore textiles and colour too.
