Virtual Summer Camps!

It's a new frontier for the Museum: Virtual Summer Camps!  This summer, we're launching four different themed cyber adventures:

This is the daily schedule for each of our virtual summer camps:
  • 9:30–11am EST, Zoom Session 1: Campers watch a live science lab, and receive instructions for their Challenge Mission.

  • 11am–1pm EST: Campers tackle their Challenge Mission at home. They
    should be able to complete the mission without much adult help or
    supervision.

  • 1–2:30pm EST, Zoom Session 2: Campers report on their mission
    successes, experience a second science lab, or virtually tour Museum
    collections and meet a scientist.

These week-long virtual camps are $250 for museum Members, $300 for non-members. Join us!

Length

Each camp day features two 1.5-hr Zoom sessions, with a lunch break between.

Education: Grade(s) 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12

Minimum participants:

Ummm... one?

Maximum participants:

20 students allowed per virtual camp.

Format

Objectives

Virtual Summer Camp Participants Will:
Experience how interactive a Zoom connection can really be!
Speak with museum experts, researchers, and animal experts.
Accomplish Challenge Missions between the morning and afternoon Zoom connections.
Discover how much current science research happens at our museum.
