4th Grade high ability small group enrichment collaboration

About

I have a group of five, high ability students that I will be working virtually with this year with enrichment activities. My plan is to have each student create a passport book and once a month we will travel virtually to a different National Park. After the visit, the remainder of the month will be spent doing enrichment activities and projects in the curriculum areas. I am looking for another small group (From anywhere - we are on EST in IN) to connect with us virtually and talk about the National Park and share out the activities and projects that were completed that month. I would need the class to likewise connect at the beginning of the month to the National Park and go through the same presentation my class did so the students can discuss.

As a ranger at Homestead National Historical Park, I can provide a variety of lesson on history of and the impacts of the Homestead Act.

I am looking for classes looking to book distance learning programs with Homestead National Historical Park.

Additional information

While we do have some asynchronous video recordings of short ranger talks, we prefer doing a live participatory program that encourages student engagement.

Hi! I was wondering if you found another group to join you in your study of National Parks? I work with the High Ability groups at our school 3-12, but I have a group of 5th grade students that would fit well with what I read in your description.

We are used to using Zoom.
